New School Bus Policy and Payment Details
Starting from the 2009 school year, Transport Fees will not be part of the School Fees. The school has been forced to take this action due to the huge increase in the cost of providing this service to the school community. You can find a copy of the new policy on the web site - www.copticvic.org then go to School Policies, 5.18 Bus Policy, or obtain a copy from the College Office.
As you are all aware, we do not get any government assistance/grants/subsidies to provide this service and the school has to meet the full cost of providing bus transport. As a school we cannot afford to keep subsidising the transport costs as we have done in previous years.
The key points of the new policy:
1. The Bus Fee is separate from the school fees.
2. The will be no discount for Bus Fees unless it is for a second or subsequent child (see 5.18 Bus Policy on the College Web Site under School Policies).
3. Parents wanting their children to use the bus service must pre-book before the 19tn . If you do not book and pay the minimum amount by this date we cannot guarantee a place on the school bus for next year.
4. Parents can book the use of the bus for a month, term, half year or whole year.
5. There is the option of a daily/weekly ticket under exceptional circumstances – please talk to the office for these costs and the Transport Manager for availability.
