St Mary's Coptic Orthodox College is a Prep - 12 School. It was officially opened by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St Mark on February 1991. The school is supervised and directed by the Coptic Orthodox Church Diocese of Melbourne and its affiliated region which is headed by His Grace Bishop Suriel.

Starting from the 2009 school year, Transport Fees will not be part of the School Fees. The school has been forced to take this action due to the huge increase in the cost of providing this service to the school community.
